About the Whippet
Developed in England during the 19th century by crossing small greyhounds with terriers, originally used for rabbit coursing and informal racing. Slender and aerodynamic, with a deep chest, an arched back, and a short, fine coat built for speed.
Temperament
Gentle and quiet indoors but capable of explosive bursts of speed outdoors, the Whippet is affectionate with family and generally good-natured with other dogs.
