About the Siberian Husky
Developed by the Chukchi people of Siberia to pull light loads over long distances in harsh Arctic conditions, later brought to Alaska during the gold rush era for sled dog racing. Medium-to-large and well muscled, with a thick double coat and striking blue, brown, or bi-colored eyes.
Temperament
Friendly, outgoing, and independent, the Siberian Husky is a high-energy working breed bred to run, and it retains a strong pack orientation along with a tendency to howl and roam if under-exercised.

Grooming needs
The thick double coat sheds heavily during seasonal blowouts and needs brushing two to three times a week during those periods, less often otherwise.
