About the Newfoundland
Developed on the island of Newfoundland in Canada, used by fishermen to haul nets and lines through cold water, prized for its strength and natural swimming ability. Massive and heavily boned, with a thick, water-resistant double coat.
Temperament
Sweet-natured, patient, and famously good with children, the Newfoundland is a calm, devoted companion often noted for its instinct to help around water.

Grooming needs
