About the Mastiff (English Mastiff)
One of the oldest British breeds, with ancestry tracing back over two thousand years to large war and guard dogs. Massive and heavily built, among the largest breeds by weight, with a short, dense coat and a distinctive dark mask.
Temperament
Calm, dignified, and good-natured, the Mastiff is a gentle companion at home despite its imposing size, forming deep loyalty to its family.
