About the Golden Retriever
Developed in Scotland in the mid-19th century to retrieve waterfowl for hunters, bred for a soft mouth suited to bringing back game undamaged. Sturdy and well proportioned, with a dense, water-repellent double coat and feathering on the legs and tail.
